The Future is Open: Good Karma, Bad Karma, and Beyond Karma by Chogyam Trungpa

You don't need to own the book. Each week starting March 12 we will read a portion of the book and discuss. The class is led by Ellen "Bear" Hollyday and Mark Mounts.  Class starts at 6:45 after sitting.

"The Future is Open adds to the understanding of karma through its emphasis on the importance of transcending karmic cause and effect through meditation and awareness as a path of awakening. For practitioners of the sitting practice of meditation, this approach to karma shows the deeper impact of meditation and altogether promotes the value of "doing nothing" properly. It graphically describes the samsaric or confused wheel of existence that we all participate in, and how meditation can help us to step off this not-so-merry-go-round. Altogether, this book may open our eyes to the nuances of karma and the necessity of looking more deeply into our habitual patterns and preconceptions."
