The film "Walk With Me" will be shown at the Loew Auditorium on Nov 11 thanks to the Shambhala Meditation Center of White River, The Heart of the Valley Mindfulness Practice Center, The Valley Insight Meditation Society, and The Zen Center of White River, in conjunction with the Hopkins Center. That's Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 5 PM,  in the Loew Auditorium, at Black Family Visual Arts Center, 22 Lebanon St in Hanover, NH.

This moving documentary is narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch and takes the audience deep inside the Plum Village Monastery of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. The documentary was filmed over three years and captures the life of a monastic community both inside and outside the monastery.  The film itself is a beautiful meditation.

Before the movie there will be a walk from the Howe Library parking lot to the theatre (about 2 blocks) After the movie, there will be a Q&A with former Plum Village Monastic, Fern Dorresteyn and Dharma Teacher Richard Brady.

Tickets are $8 and $5 (with a Dartmouth ID). Seating is general admission. Tickets can be purchased in advance, online, by phone or in person at the Hopkins Center Box Office.  They can also be purchased 30 minutes before the start of the film at the Loew ticket window.

    ABOUT TICKETS:

“WALK WITH ME,” the film about Thay and the monastics, will be at the Loew Auditorium, in the Black Family Visual Arts Center, on Saturday, November 11.  The showing begins at 5:00pm.

But first, we’ll meet in the Howe Library parking lot, at 4:00 pm, for a slow, mindful walk to the theater, about 2 short blocks away.  We want to give everyone plenty of time to settle in at the theater, and possibly sing some practice songs.

After the film, there will be a Q & A with former Plum Village Monastic, Fern Dorresteyn, and Dharma Teacher Richard Brady.

We strongly suggest that you purchase tickets prior to the showing, either at the box office or on-line.  hop.dartmouth.edu/online/walk-with-me

Once your tickets are purchased, they can be picked up in the Black Family Center just before the film or anytime before from the Hop box office.

If you need to purchase tickets on the day of the showing, you’ll need to walk into the “depths” of the Hopkins Center, to the box office.  Tickets cannot be purchased in the Black Family Center.
